Original Paintings

I recently received my print of "A Golden Moment." I couldn't be more pleased. The quality of the reproduction is excellent. As I look over Mr. McCullough's website I wonder which of these beautiful works I want next. Surely it will have to be one of the originals.

I recently bought a 20” x 24” canvas print of “A Curious Friend” with the “mirror”option around the sides. The chipmunk is so lifelike that it is stunning and it’s hard to believe, on first glance, that it’s not a photographic print. This artist is very accomplished, and I’ve hung my new “Friend” In my study, where I can look at it, and be inspired while practicing my guitar. I am the happy owner of the original of “a golden moment”. I have seen many paintings of aspen groves, but this painting captures more than just the beauty of the aspen. It takes me into the grove with the crunch of dry leaves under my feet, golden leaves quaking, and deep within the forest into the unknown. The colors, textures, and techniques are exceptional. It soothes my soul. The artist is not only highly skilled, but he clearly paints from an intimate experience in nature.

I bought a 30" x 30" canvas print of the Winter Queen. The lynx looks so real that several friends, upon seeing the print for the first time, have refused to believe that it is not a photograph. Every hair and whisker is individually detailed and the out-of-focus background draws all attention to the face of the Queen. Most impressive, and what I like best about this high quality print, are the Queen's eyes. Wherever I stand in the room, I am drawn in by her eyes, which seem to be looking directly at me and conveying an unfathomable mystery.
